Communism was an idea too advanced for the technological abilities of the entire world.
Karl Marx even wrote that before the people can take to power the means of communicatons will span the globe and capitalism will eat in upon itself.
Communism in Russia was a direct jump from Imperialism, they missed the crucial development stage necessary, and have been backpeddling ever since.
It was doomed to fail, but the funny thing is that the current state of America is in ripe condition for a complete revlotion.

I don't need the state to give them to me. I'm working for and earning them. If I'm not succeeding (for example, I have yet to purchase a nice home for myself), I don't feel envious or greedy enough to kill for them... I just work harder and smarter. I fail to see your point, as it lies under the assumption that people will automatically fall to greed and violence through envy. Not everyone is retarded, you can't just group everyone like that...

is anyone worried about the consequences of owning a gun? the possible negatives are so ultimate - death, that owning it is scary enough. I just dont understand why you would even want to keep something close by that could ultimately end your existence or the existence of another.you never intend to kill someone or yourself (at least if your sane) but why even chance something happening by owning a gun. Like I said, I feel if guns are not in the hands of criminals, then you would never feel a need to own a gun. it's the equivalent to the cold war. I want a nuke because he has a nuke. if nukes dont exist then you move on to something less violent. why cant we both just own kitchen knives and leave it at that.
