Figured I would start another thread out of respect for Olst.
I also apologize in advance for anyone this thread might offend because it's bound too.

If your religious, killing yourself = Suffering in the underworld of hell. No Thanks.

Omissions post brings up the discussion of what is or is not considered suicide.

If you eat greasy fatty foods and die from a heart attack is it suicide? What about knowingly smoking Cigarettes? drinking copious amounts of Alcohol daily?
IMO - If you choose a path in life that has a high chance of early death it's subtle suicide.

Taking ones life is not always as clear cut as a gun or jumping off a bridge.

Thoughts? Comments?

A lot of times when people are constantly partying and drinking or smoking, I hear a lot of I don't want to live past 30. Usually as they grow up this idea changes in their mind. But I don't think it's really intentional suicide just a choice to live that way, anyway it's usually just a phase or becomes the only way to let off steam, if you're more of a drinker/smoker not partying kind of deal. Sorry If I offend as well. meow.

Being a kid and enjoying ones life is totally different, from smoking 1+ pack a day of Cigs or downing a bottle of vodka a day.

Kids are sort of the exception here only because they believe they are untouchable and invincible. They can't really comprehend the idea of death, which why most want to die at 30 yet change their minds later.

Meh if living the rock n roll diet is ur perogative and think copious drinking, smoking n drugs is the only slice of life worth tryin, go for it. People smarten the fuck up or they dont. I still wouldnt consider a chain smoker alcholic as a 'subtle suicider' but it certainly could lead to depression n hopelessness resulting in suicide via sucking car exhaust.

#YOLOSWAG

(is severely misused [and relates to this discussion] as people throw away lives as this as their motivation...it means the opposite)]

Directly relating to the subject however: I'm pretty sure it's only suicidal if you intend to kill yourself in an immediate fashion.

Sad really...

Drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes and not knowing when you're going to die is one thing.
Pulling the trigger of a gun and knowing you're going to die is another thing altogether.

This really annoys me when people use it.
Honestly, if you only live once, why not take the actual meaning of that phrase, and do something good with your life.
Not just go out drinking every weekend and having sex with anything that gives you a wink.

It's stupid to run your body into the ground like some people, younger than me, do these days.

The whole point of 'YOLO' or Carpe Diem, as is the proper phrase, is that you should do something crazy, something that you don't normally do. To experience what life has to offer.
Getting drunk and taking drugs is not my idea of experiencing what life has to offer.

how doyou quote? Also, Zacky couldn't you argue that doing those things at least once, would be trying something and new having a new experience. I dunno I think drugs should be experimented with once in a person's life, they're just tricky cause it can become addicting.

kts, u can quote by clicking the 'reply' button under a person's post & yes;

your first experience doing drugs or drinking alcohol would easily be considered a first hand experience aka. living life. The point i think ZC is trying to say is that beyond the first-tyme (notice ye olde english), you know what you are getting yourself into and therefore have the ability to continue down the same path or divert from it.

Basically What TT said.
Yes, I see what you mean where trying it once would definitely be seeing what there is in life. To some extent, I agree with you.
But once it gets passed that initial try of it, it just becomes stupid. Doing it again every single weekend is just wrecking your body for nothing.

Even so, a lot of times when people just 'try something once, because it wont hurt' it leads to an addiction being formed.
People getting hooked on Coke, Meth, Cigs and all sorts. Maybe trying it once isn't the way, unless you know for sure you aren't going to get hooked on it.

I will admit I've tried weed, and I've smoked for a while...but I personally have a high threshold for addiction. It takes a lot for me to get hooked on something.
But for other people just the smell of a fag, or the taste of a drug, is enough for them to get completely hooked to the point where they are selling everything they own just so they can afford the next hit of whatever.

EDIT
My 1000th post is a rant on Drugs. Wow :P

try lsd or dmt.

lmao

but on a serious note.
I've known people who overdosed on drugs. I've known people who died in drug related car crashes. I've also known people who have jumped in front of trains. And I've known people who just fell on thier bike and died from head trauma. All of these people were good people.

If this life really is some sort of of game to determine who the good and bad souls are, and the scoreboard somewhere in the clouds dictating whos getting into heaven or hell, and its based on the decisions the we make. Than I for one am royally pissed off that we don't all get to start at the exact same point. Some people are born into sin. Some people dont get to live past the age of 0. Some people are hungry and are forced to do bad things just to survive.

Broken game is Broken. Please patch.
