think about it, lets say you live in a town of 10 people and 1 grocery store. You make a ton of money and 9 other people are poor as dirt. The grocery store needs to sell a volume of food that 10 people would consume or have to go out of business.

you're rich, and you're going to buy all the food that YOU need, but you'll never buy more than you need and most definitely not 10 people's worth.

if your taxes go into welfare, that will give the other 9 poor shmucks cash that they can buy their food with. So the grocery store stays in business, and everyone in your community will be fed.

if you take away welfare, then the store will go out of business because it can't survive on only 1 customer (you).

So what happens to the other 3 businesses where iCe would have normally spent that money. They're now gone. iCe has now sacrifices 3 businesses for the sake of 1. What a dick.

I think it's important for people to know how much of our (American) taxes ALREADY do towards health care. Medicare accounts for 13.1%, Medicaid 7.9%, Health Fund 2%. That's 23% of our taxes going towards health care nationally, and this doesn't even include state taxes. In California I also pay into MediCal, along with so many other social programs like planned parenthood. And this isn't enough? Obama (not the people) wants more? This is ridiculous...

No, I know all about how Americans are losing more and more freedom everyday. But I never claimed to know (until iCe said this I didn't know this at all) that some Americans (pending where they live I assume?) can pay up to approx. 23% tax that also funds health care?

EDIT: By the way, we're not too far off here. We, along with the Americans, are slowly losing a lot of freedoms. I don't see it on paper, or by law, but I do see it with events. Cops being video taped doing fucked up and still getting off. Black kids being shot by cops and nobody's guilty.

There was also this video about how a bunch of private courts (courts, as in residential streets, but 'courts', as in no exit roads), had public, steel basketball nets that the city had to remove due to being 'a hazard', and the neighbourhoods were trying to fight it cause everyone loved it. Well, they got ripped out and sold to China to refine into other shit. But, since the courts were in private residential areas (a.k.a. gov't don't own shit there), it turned out to be a big (not big enough for mass media, apparently) fiasco.
It was very interesting.

I have a worthless aunt that has been on government assistance for almost 40 years. She's had everything from life long diabetes medication to open heart surgery. Most recently she had Gastric Bypass surgery. She has never paid a fucking dime.
