I used to have a HUGE DICK! like 3 years ago, each year it shrunk and now it's just over "asian" size.

I was trying to get 4.2Ghz stable with HT on but I couldn't so I removed HT (for testing) and dropped down to a stable frequency. I have it on now at 4.0.

It should, I had my cousin Sondooby's running @ 4.2Ghz stable with HT enabled very easily. Only problem he ran into was a bit of high heat (up to 60C+ on 100% load). So I de-tuned it to 3.8Ghz at an absolute max cpu temp of 55C. He's happy. (Core i7 920).

4.0 runs just fine with HT turned on. I was hitting temps into the high 50s/low 60s at 4.2 w/ HT. I don't think that's too high, but in the winter with the heat on, my ambient temps are pretty high (24-26C) so a delta of +35/40 is a bit much.

hey haven't been on in a while because I'm waiting for my new rig to get here.

-Asus Rampage II GENE mobo
-Intel core i7 960 @ 3.20 GB default clock / stock cooled ...so far
-4 GB DDR3 memory leaving room for future upgrades there...
-Antec three hundred gaming case
-Thermaltake 650 watt PSU
-Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS 512 (BFG)... kept that from my old rig as it is still pretty decent for time being.
-250 GB hdd accopmanied by external 1TB hdd
-Lite on 4x Blu ray ROM
-Supreme FX XFI, 8 channel HD audio (onboard)

I'm creamin' my pants just writing this down here. I can't wait to try BFBC2 and switch on the "rape steviebongs" setting that will now be available in my game settings tab ;)

should be here by monday fingers crossed.

- Intel Core i7 CPU @ 2.67ghz BUT clocked at 3.53ghz w/o voltage boost.
- 12 GB DDR3
- Dual ATI 4850 256bit 1GB cards in Xfire
- Intel SATA II 80GB SSD
- Dual 23" Dell widescreen LCDs

I have about 5 TB of usuable storage sitting around too (SATA 3gbs or better).

Not the best benchmarking tool, but windows experience rating of 7.6 (out of 7.9)

thtas sick. y the $600 960 chip ? i almost bought he gene mobo, didnt like becasue its microatx. but ive heard its a sick board.
