I hear NVidea has better 'tesalation' that would give you a better quality looking detail. But at the cost of cpu and fps, so if you take away that, ATI has better cards. Ish. It's up for debate at that point :)
[/quote1283620788]
yeah, nvidia has some kind of smoothing/shading built in. no matter how high i crank the graphics on my ati, it looks mehh

i've owned both ATI and Nvidia.. and i do like nvidia's better for games. although i think ati does achieve higher benchmarks... but i've liked my experiences with nvidia's much better :o

I'll be impressed if your cpu lasts more than one year at those temps dude :/

Rule of thumb (that I've read on every serious overclock forum that google could possibly yield) is overclock to a max of 55C, no more. At 55C load temp, your cpu is acting like it would stock, except you'll gain fuckloads of speed.

Be weary!

Speedfan is fucked sometimes. I rely on coretemp because it uses Intel's censors that are built right in the chip itself, so I feel it's more accurate.

Uninstall speedfan as well, because that shit attempts to control your system fans/performance through some .inf's n shit. I'm not all too sure about it but I read into it a long while ago.

Also 47, drop your voltage through BIOS. Your i7 should be able to hit 3Ghz at an easy temperature. I noticed they don't heat up until 3.4+Ghz.

I idle around 50C @ 4 ghz with the ultra 120, so dont sweat those temps if you are going to replace the cooler it wont hurt anything. the i7's can handle up to around 80 degrees before they start to sweat so dont go past that and you should be fine.

edit: nm im a little slow.

posting to take the position of 'Owner of most ghetto CPU fan' via my CPU fan being held together with duct tape due to some cutting I had to do when wires got caught up in it.
