Yes, that makes sense and hence my point - most of us here: LB, Steve, Brains et. al. enjoyed at least 2-3 years before that on TD.

i started playing full time on TD sometime around 2007

before that i spent most of my time on NR... the 24 player format was more enjoyable and the caliber of skill was generally higher, but then they went to shit... i also made it to the TD forums... and the forums got me.

topping the chart was way easier on TD than NR at the time.

also i still stand by the notion that 24 players max makes for better gameplay, when it's 32 there's too much going on, you spend half the round waiting for the suiciders to die while picking off their suiciders/noobs, then when it's down to 6v6 or something is when the fun begins.

So you did better at one place than the other. That could have been a variety of reasons. As for the 6v6, that's your preference. To this day, I don't understand why people insist on comparing pub gameplay to scrims - they're totally different.
