How did I miss this. I'm stuck in Nova hell and I think I'm better than this crap but this level is just friggin loopy with smurfs and griefers. I have 158 wins so I'm no stranger to MM. Someone add moi and let's get me outta this shit!

Edit: I think I'm better, maybe I'm not. Maybe I'm just shit. But please help me make sure!

If you want to avoid MM then ESEA is by far the best bet you have of playing solid pugs, you'll almost never run into a cheater but you will have the headache of getting owned by a 8 RWS player randomly. There is also CEVO pugs that are on client but the pugs are insanely easy because majority of the time you are paired up against noobs.

If you want you can add me on steam and I can MM with you to rank you up and get you to global (But I won't be playing as much now that the holidays are over). On GE I still encounter hackers about every 2 games lol

Sure, I'd love to play MM with you sometime. And no pressure about playing a lot. Just let me know when you're available to play, and we'll work something out. I'm back in university as of today, so I won't have as much time to play now either.

Thanatos i'v played with you a few times (john kimble) your at least ak/double ak as far as being able to make a kill and clutch a round.
Would have to play more to see why your still in the lower ranks.
MM is only finally now starting to level out after the holiday smurf accounts get properly sorted out. For about a month there it was like 4 star became the new DMG and everyone had sub 100 hours on their accounts.

I find i hit a lot of cheaters when playing on my smurf at DMG level with friends People boosting their buddies etc. But solo q at higher ranks is enjoyable. 5 dudes that just want to win. Callouts and strats. For the most part...
MM isn't as bad as people say. And when someone gets vaced all their wins against you become a wash and you get reimbursed the lost MMR. It could be worse.
I used to rage and try to make cheaters feel like shit Hannibal lectur style. Make them hate themselves into biting their own tongue off. But now I just laugh. If you don't plan on making money from counter strike then its no harm no foul. There will always be cheaters.

I got supreme solo q in times when TD was dead and nobody on.

I realize I've said the opposite as everyone else but fuck it. That was my experience.

Yeah, I've been considering just saying fuck it and trying to solo q up. It's just that I've had quite a few bad experiences in the past; rage smashing the desk kind of experiences...

I've always enjoyed playing MM with you, though.

I hit GN4 recently after winning 4 games, and then won my first game as GN4. Hell yeah.
Then proceeded to lose 5 in a row and now I'm back to GN3...
Fucking hate this.

Wouldn't worry bout rank so much, it's main function was to match people up of equal skill level. Smurfing has pretty much obliterated this, so MM has become a fast pug service, and I would treat it as such.

Smurfing is for nubs ;) I like to MM with low rank friends and force them to go against higher ranks because valves MM system is wonky like that. At this point, I'd rather 5 man with novas then solo Q at badge. Badge life ain't easy man.

They changed it. I am physically unable to play with anyone lower than badge. Won't let q start. Says rank difference too high

ESEA seems to be great in principle, but I've been having a hell of a time with it. It's been bogging my system down hard when I'm in game, ie. massive input lag. However, just today I went into the menu and set the client to run on the fourth core of my CPU. Hopefully, that resolves the issue. It's in situations like this that my old i7 920 is starting to show its age.

As for smurfing, I've never done it, but I imagine that I would feel quite empty inside doing it.

I play on the oldest toaster ever. Been thinking of building a new PC but Id rather payoff student loans... But seriously my PC is trash. I get 10 fps in smoke lol

Did they change something again? I thought you could queue with anyone as long as you had a full 5 person group.
