Scrim Servers

[Low Budget]

We now have two new scrim servers. This will allow for tournaments to take place a lot smoother and faster since we can have two matches simultaneously.

Passwords are the same as the one used for the previous server. There are no admin plugins or mods, therefore, matches will have to be set up using rcon. Only Scrim Leaders will have the rcon password.'

Yea you can, its just that the password will not be publicly released. Only scrim leaders will be able to set up matches.

And look at the bright side, you guys don't have to wait for a game to end anymore, you guys can have 2 simultaneous scrims if you have enough people.

We need some kind of anti-cheat enabled on this, zblock seems popular but I've heard its easy to get around. Prop has a good one setup on the main CSS. Can we use it on these servers?

If these servers are just for internal scrims then ignore me.

Is there a reason we got rid of the menu for doing lo3 etc? I don't mind doing things differently, I'm just curious.

The whole scrim thing was going really well, super popular in the community, and now I can't get one together for the last 4 nights. What happened here? Other than the server having messed up tick rates everything else was going smoothly.

I liked the menu LO3 as well...much easier to do.

@Auron :: the scrim servers are 100tik now and so things should be better (also had to fix the slow doors issue). Also, I'm sure the scrim thing will pick up again now that the servers are back. In fact, there were 7-8 of us in there last night. :)

A admin neglected to finish setting up the firewall settings. And couldn't get around to it for 2 days.. its really shitty that we had this sort of disruption.


budget and I finished setting up the scrim server. It will all be through console rcon.

hey steve, how about you respect the work that I put into getting the scrim server set up in the first place. I customized everything for ease of use, and I was always available for fine-tuning, that I did with the help of Auron, MR and a couple other admins who are current and knowledgable with scrimming. It wasn't a fail server, and you won't get a percentage of a percentage performance increase from not having sourcemod on it, because the only customized mod was the admin mod. An admin neglected to set up the firewall settings? You mean me? The firewall is currently down (apparently) and at the time the admin who recreated the two stock scrim servers didn't inform me of the new ports until late last night. You know the back story of why the scrim server went down in the first place.
