New trade_plaza_darkly_5b map?

Yeah, people don't only trade... Spawn camping is still a problem on the servers since people just like to casually play the game (kill) on darkly servers.

Not going to continue the argument, since this isn't the place to argue. Sorry for my previous posts.

Other than the entrance to the open space like it was originally in trade_plaza, I think that Cmp did a great job on the map and I hope that his improvements/fixes will be just the same.

Cmp™, I've edited the map plugin now to allow a lot more customization and controls over the teleports for things like force class, melee, etc. Has been working nicely (as far as I know) for events and stuff.

The event room sounds like a lot of less trouble for people hosting, but I wanted to ask how it would work, but only if you're all fine with it of course.

May I make a suggestion to the spawncamp issue? On some trade_plaza servers I see team colored orbs above the team's spawn that if any enemy gets near the orb shocks them with lightning till they're dead. Just a suggestion, and I dunno the actual plug-in.

Spawn camping and killing players being 'friendly' are entirely permissible; players may kill whomever they like.

My unsolicited two cents; given the above rule I don't see an issue with spawn camping. The entrances were fixed so you could not sniper from one entrance to the other, in order to spawn camp you have to be out in the open and vulnerable. If you happen to have a group of people helping you camp then so be it, the other team, just like in any other pub on any other map needs to work together to defeat you.

I'm quite aware of the rules, it's just that spawn camping is still upsetting and people don't usually work together in the game and all we're suggesting is multiple entrances like in trade_rawr and trade_minecraft so that it won't happen as much as it is now.

The hardest thing with spawn camping is when the other teams Engies get up there and have built up there. Much harder to beat when there are 4 - 6 sentries on your entrance. If those platforms could be non-build areas, that would help.

Either way, I love the new map with dedicated server gaming areas. Also, love chillin' in the VIP Room.

Those platforms ARE no-build for EXACTLY that reason. I was told it was a problem, I didn't think it was, but then discovered I was wrong, so I put no-build flags up there.

The spawns won't be changed, at least not anytime soon. After Gatherix's input, I spent a lot of time considering travel time (spawn to exit) and similarity to plaza. While the map ended up being relatively different, plaza is actually the basis and one of the aspects of plaza is spawncamping.

CMP I see dispensers on those platforms all the time, I'm guessing the no build doesn't affect rtd and premium?
