what am I looking at? how can they track attacks if you can't track attacks... (from previous page).
So from my best understanding, the site is tracking what is potentially malicious network activity. If you notice, it doesn't track the IP of the attackers, only the IP of the target. This is because often times the attacker is spoofed. Regardless, they still use dns to track, and there's only 7 major DNS servers in the world [this is essentially the internet] with dns-sub servers that are used to identify at least countries..

I got the TF2 servers online and running again, but NFO said today that they're still specifically being targeted by DDoS attacks. The method used is pretty common for Source servers, and if it continues being a problem I might be able to negate it, really just depends on the size of the attack. No guarantees in regards to future server availability yet.

EDIT: Seems likely that they're up for good, though again no guarantees

Do people not have anything better to do than attack Source servers?

I hear Steam is continuing to scam people out of money with their trading cards. They should DDoS them instead of the gamers.

I've been saying to SJ this whole time that the servers being down were because of malicious attacks of some sort. Thanks @Gatherix for coming to the rescue. Traders been suffering without their dosage of DARKLY the past week.

Hopefully they'll still be up by the time my PC is fixed... :c

New Darkly server has been worse than Valve MM servers last few weeks. Hope they get this sorted out somehow.

haven't been the server long enough to notice but, are the attacks affecting all of TD's servers (CS:GO and TF2 included)? Also are the attacks still frequent? I'd figure most of the script kiddies would be back in school by now or bored.
