Long way away, but maybe I'll get there, and it's still under the $1000 tier, hell, even possibly less than $500, if you time it right.
Now, all of this junk, get's me nearly 60 FPS on almost all Source Games, CS:GO notwithstanding, and about...eh, 40-50 on Crysis. How long they'll last? Oh, way more than two years. Now, since NewEgg doesn't have the pre-built option yet, where they can build the PC for you, I recommended CyberPower due to having that ability. Here's a pretty basic PC, with all the flair taken off, from CP. (Since the Copy Pasta would dwarf the post, I made a PDF at the end.) Bear in mind that this build, has no OS, no Keyboard/Mouse, and only the interiors have been upgraded just a bit, to ensure long lasting stuffs. It runs near the $759 range, which I remember you stating you had a budget of $1000 - $800, this should fit the bill, if not, I can make a different build. Be aware that a LOT of these parts might have rebates attached to them...more bang for the buck.
Thanks for taking the time to write that <3
