Here is my Desktop's current Build, with Newegg Item numbers if you want to look them up, it's the numbers on the left:

11-147-010 CASE ROSEWILL|R103A BK RT
13-130-679 MB MSI|970A-G43 AMD970 950 AM3+ R
14-102-994 VGA SAPPHIRE|100323-2L HD6570 1G R
19-103-871 CPU AMD|ATH II X4 640 3.0G AM3 R
20-233-385 MEM 8G|CORSAIR CMX8GX3M1A1600C11 R

All just under $300, due to a Shell-Shocker sale.

Here's where I want to go.

Long way away, but maybe I'll get there, and it's still under the $1000 tier, hell, even possibly less than $500, if you time it right.

Now, all of this junk, get's me nearly 60 FPS on almost all Source Games, CS:GO notwithstanding, and about...eh, 40-50 on Crysis. How long they'll last? Oh, way more than two years. Now, since NewEgg doesn't have the pre-built option yet, where they can build the PC for you, I recommended CyberPower due to having that ability. Here's a pretty basic PC, with all the flair taken off, from CP. (Since the Copy Pasta would dwarf the post, I made a PDF at the end.) Bear in mind that this build, has no OS, no Keyboard/Mouse, and only the interiors have been upgraded just a bit, to ensure long lasting stuffs. It runs near the $759 range, which I remember you stating you had a budget of $1000 - $800, this should fit the bill, if not, I can make a different build. Be aware that a LOT of these parts might have rebates attached to them...more bang for the buck.

:fapped:
Thanks for taking the time to write that <3

A prebuilt last 7 years, this one was built by bear hands. I take it 10 years before problems occur. Intel, is for those who have money to burn.

The HP one I mentioned, has a dated AMD 64 X-II live CPU. :>

All depends what games / setting / resolution you're playing at. Minimum 1080p at High setting for most games that's out right now @ 60Fps.

Ignore all the good advice and get a prebuilt amd machine

I don't know man...... AMD or Nvidia?
The good thing about pre-builts are that they are as simple to set up as fill in the blanks, and the software that is installed is genuine and good to go. I need Microsoft Office 2013 Professional + (genuine) and prebuilts come with that.

I took some advice from Titanaboa (tinana? meh) and I'm going with a prebuilt. The cost of a genuine Windows and Microsoft Office 2013 (for school) is going to even out the cost anyways... you like this computer? :3.
I'm going to buy:

Do you approve :3.

"New AMD FX6300 six-core processor uses specialized "Piledriver" technology that delivers serious computing performance"

:sofunny:

There are some Phenom II that perform better than the 6300.

that computer is alright, will handle gaymes no problem, you could probably do some heavy encoding with it too, not having an SSD will bottle neck this computer

SSD will not give you better FPS,

FPS = CPU completely - Will not matter if you have a SSD or a HDD for this

Initial Load and Scene transition = SSD - HDD will be slower

p.s. www.monoprice.com for all your cable needs.

OH and just a heads up Office 365 is a yearly subscription, not something you can buy our right and keep for every.
