Also, should I use a 2nd router and make it bridged, and provide a physical connection to the computer or should I use a wifi adapter?

you should run a 500ft cord to your router. Fuck wireless

:yaoming:
would cost a lot to have it under the carpet and along the walls.. and my room and the work room are on opposite ends of the house. 4k sq ft. so it isn't going to be easy to get that wire. it has to cross through 2 walls and go past a hallway.

You can use a powerline adapter.

I use one to give a wired connection from a router that's upstairs to a PS3 in the living room.
Fuck wireless.

I'm extremely confused as what it does and how you set it up.
Do you remove the router and let that thing do it's thing, or..? My room doesn't have an ethernet port.

Will I be able to use it if my router is plugged into a powerstrip, and if the powerline adapters are plugged into powerstrips as well?

Your router can be plugged anywhere but not the powerline adapter. I'm sure you can find a wall outlet somewhere in your room.

Does your place run on a single electrical box?
If yes
Get a Powerline adapter,

You Plug the first adapter into any power outlet near your Router, and then connect it to your Router via Ethernet.

You plug the second adapter into any power outlet around your computer, and then connect it to your Computer via Ethernet.

These units are literally plug-and-play. Oh you *might* have to push a sync button on them once plugged in.

Don't even bother getting a new computer just to stick a wifi adapter on it.
That's like;

That unit doesn't have a Wireless Internet Card, you'll still have to go out and buy one, the unit I scrapped together for you comes with one. (Unless installing a wireless card is too damn difficult for you...) I cannot support you buying one of those little USB ones, those are better suited towards laptops.

All the steel series is crap, in my opinion, but that's a personal thing.

Why do you need a VGA to HDMI cable when you stated before your current monitor has a VGA one...unless it really is HDMI, which is infact, not a big blue, but a smaller, slender black cable. According to the specs of the prebuilt that you're getting, it has slots for VGA, DVI and HDMI...?
