WIN7 having lag, choke, or reg problems

I suggest only doing the network aspect of it, as the other only causes problems with sound. READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE BEFORE ATTEMPTING!

Good find, although I'm having much bigger issues with CS:S in Win7 - direct x game engine errors and random crashes.

Ok ive tried this for awhile now and im still having massive choke issues upwards of 50 sometimes. Still not sure if its my side or server side. Is anyone else having issues like this?

I am not.. Have you installed NVidia drivers instead of using the pre-loaded Win 7 drivers? It causes my bro's comp to be un-useable... maybe it's having a more mild (and laggy) effect on you.

No problems here, was smooth since day 1, are you running 64bit?

If you do, uninstall it. I haven't tested for a stable version yet, but I can verify that the two latest drivers are botched for Win7 64-bit, on my bro's computer for sure.... However, the very latest (also tested on my bro's comp and found NOT to work) does work great.

I'm using a driver for the XFX 8800 Ultra, driver: 8.16.11.9107.

If you can, remove all your nvidia drivers, reboot as necessary until they're ALL gone, then let Win7 load it's own driver. See if it's fixed.
