CHILDREN OF BODOM (also COB), the hard partying Finnish Heavy Metal band that features frontman and modern day guitar hero Alexi Laiho will release its new albumRelentless Reckless Forever on March 8, 2011 via Universal Music. Recorded in Finland's Petrax Studios with famed rock producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Monster Magnet), Relentless Reckless Forever is the seventh studio album of COB's illustrious career and the first new record from the band since 2008's Blooddrunk, which debuted at #22 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart and scored the quintet its third consecutive #1 debut in Finland.

This, and $10 lap dances ;)

I have been reliving my love affair with the Montreal metal scene circa 2004. My lord, this band ruled my shit. Here is the song

And here is the coolest performance I have seen of it, that didn't involve me getting punched in the face in a retarded mosh pit. Or punch pit.

Yes, that is someone's kitchen.

Ion Dissonance is pretty baller, i don't remember why, but i skipped the opportunity to see them when they were on their final Canadian tour a few months ago

Seeing ID a few months ago would have been a waste of time. Their best years were 2003-2005, once Gab left that band was done. I saw them in a dingy Peterborough club with 20 other people and I have to say, it was the best show I have ever been to. It's sad that (at that time) they would go to the states and play for thousands, then return to Canada to play for 20 people and have to humbly ask the audience if they can sleep parked in someones driveway cause they have no support in their own country.

They lost a large portion of their core fan base with the release of their third album. Their newest is all right, but it can't touch the genius of the first two. If bands like this had been able to prosper, the face of metal would be a lot better today.

Makes Ol' Kerpeez sad, it does. :(

A large % of canadian metal fans are pussy faggots who go to concerts and sit at the back bobbing their head back and forth... This isnt fkn jazz. The only time u see a lot of crowd support is when a major name is playing, which is sad.
