TD member review of BC2(for those thinking of buying)

I've tried the beta on the PS3, multiplayer was a blast, very solid game, and the UAV is fucking AWESOME. A little bit of get used to on the character movement and such, but overall, it's a very addictive game (just like any online game...), you'll end up playing 6 hours non stop and you won't even know it lol.

1 thing I didn't like, tank > you :(

and too bad I missed the sale for $20 or els I would get it right away.

mandy, with the backing of the TD community any game will last a hell of alot longer. So far i have had it for over a month and i look forward to playing it all the time. i rarely spend this much on a game but htis one is worth it.

I have no doubt that I will be enjoying this game for some serious long hours... I have 4 complaints
1. In game voice would be nice
2. the weird slide that happens can really be an issue
3. knife distance from target isnt realistic you should be able to knife at about 2 feet. however they need you to be right on top of the guy and it has to be a body shot
4. I'm currently running on high and it works phenomenally but the graphics destabilization when i'm choosing my kit after death can be a tad bit annoying

all in all 4 complaints none of them too serious...

- Crazy graphics, you need good computer, so 47, don't buy it.
- Doesn't work on XP (source: Archduke), so all you running 10-year old software because your n00b/cheap/skeptik, don't buy it.
- in-game voIP is worse than css (didn't know this was possible), so use vent
- Incredibly fun.

It runs on XP- 32 bit :P ... this is what I have.... I dont think it works on 64 bit though

only thing id be worried about killing this game is that starcraft 2 and TOR are both suposed to come out sometime this fiscal year. so by march

This game has a limited life. Shhhhh.

It's not bad though. When another game gets popular, just get that up.

I dunno man, its unbelievably fun, its hard to put a finger on it, and the reg is reaaally good. Its hard to go back to css, anyways, its a great step to build toward a BF3 community...

Its the battlefield gameplay style. Its just meant to be constant FUN. None of this wait 2 minutes in between lives and the registry is great in this game.

BF gameplay > CSS gameplay

yeah, I think the tanks are way under-armoured in this game compared to BF2/DC.

Seems two hits from a CG and you're done, and every square corner of the map has those auto seeking hellfire posts.


Unfortunately from what I've been reading, there will never be a SDK released from this game, due to the complexity of the frostbite engine, because a lot of these maps are tight, and the ceiling is low, means we'll never get a '73 Eastings' type map.

This game has a "Battlefield" life span. This game will be popular until BF3 comes out and then it will instantly die. This is normal. What isn't normal is playing one game for 5+ years.

Its almost impossible for me to make it through a round in the pub without boredom quitting. CSS is just to old and has finally lost its touch for me.

However I have been fiending for a battlefield game for 3 year now(since bf2 was a fail). So finally to be playing a good BF game again is a nice.


Make no mistake, this game is no TF2 or MW2. It will be around until we launch our BF3 server.

There are many tf2 servers going strong. Don't look at the td server and think tf2 has/ is dying.
