good points auron and i see what u r saying but i still dont see him around on the forums or in game. Definitely cool dude though and nothing personal. Just dont want TD tags given too easily as it represents the strengths of this community and should be something people definitely earn. Dont have my vote but hopefully you get in.

People's memories are definately clowded. The only one who so maliciously attacked MR was Doolox, not "the community". I stuck up for MR and told Doolox where to go. Then it was done, and even Doolox grew out of it, so why do we have to bring that up like the fuckin Holocaust - eeeeeeevery year?

*sigh* we need a separate thread about how bad scrimming is for td. Has nothing to do wi marine.
Alternately, the history was requested and was granted. And it was def more than doolox, even if everyone else was only doing it for the 'fun' of it. But that's fine. Also ancient history.
Also note that he dropped the tag because he didn't feel welcome anymore. Something that many of us have done when life gets us down and TD bashes us in the face at the same time. Only difference is that marine is reapplying appropriately and being patient and mature about it instead of just retagging.
Anyways, it's clear to everyone who is holding a grudge and who is voting over the current state of affairs. I won't be posting here anymore.

Jr. I like you, you seem like a chill guy and for awhile there I was always saying hey to you when you popped in the server and we even chatted over steam friends a couple times.
My memory is not clouded and here's the scoop for everyone - short and sweet.
I had a spray that i put up in T-spawn at the start of a round in de_cpl_mill and 47 said over the mic something along the lines of "yo guys look at this - its a emo kid". I got kinda pissed and told 47 to "fuck off" in my 15 year old spirit and then the ENTIRE server ragged on me over it. I tk'd 47 a few rounds then left. I made a thread on the TD 1.0 forums complaining about it and the community as whole told me serveral things.
1. Lighten up.
2. Don't tk.
3. You are an emo kid.
Let's not even pretend or sugar coat it at all. Everyone around then knows what happened - admit it or not. So after a couple weeks of tension i took it in stride and let it go. I still played on the servers, but I dropped the TD tag because players also gave me shit for having it. There wasn't as standard a voting system as there is here on td 2.0 and you got in based on "when someone important or enough people says yes". Mahone gave me the go so i did. I got massive shit for it.
GT was scrimming that season in CAL and I think i either asked or was offered to play by Apeshit and i sported GT for awhile and eventually when I wasnt playing in CAL with them anymore - dropped it.
In case anyone here needs clarification - i'm not the one who brings this shit up. But i'll be damned if someone is going to post lies or sugar coat the situation. I haven't pointed fingers and said anyone has lied either - but there's what has happened, factual from the source information. You have no opinions there - its simply action and reaction.

I've been around for years. How many people have you given the tag to who "earned it" and then turned around and left the TD servers and stop posting on the forums? I haven't "earned it" seeing as how i've continuously re-applied over and over and over again - waiting patiently and hoping you guys come around finally?
"Don't have my vote - but hopefully you get in" - So.. you are telling me you have the hopes of me getting in, and the power to help that along - but it isn't worth your use of power. That doesn't make sense to me - maybe you can clarify.

Thanks shortbus. Also - for anyone wondering. I just finished my senior year of high school - sorry one phase of real life took priority over playing a game. Whenever I did play CS i played on the TD servers. It was TD pub - or i wasn't playing. That's the fact. I played when i could but prom and honors classes and everything else I had to do came first - plus I wanted to enjoy my social life too.

Roach-Marine was TD a long time ago, and he was let in despite his not being of age for the tag. He did well until people started really ragging on him (calling him emo, picking on his beliefs, etc) and he raged and dropped the tag.
Either way, that's the background and it was a year+ ago so it really shouldn't come up again in this recruitment thread. If anyone has had any trouble with him at all since TD 2.0 then maybe that should be brought up. Todd is of age now, a little more level headed and a pretty legit dude.

I'm in the Toronto Darkly ventrilo server - playing with TD source players quite frequently. Sometimes I pub, but i play a lot of scrims because challenging competitive game play is more fun for me in some ways.
I go on the pub when I'm drunk and wanna hang out - or if i see names in the server I like. I'm drinking less because it was getting out of hand and when i do join the pub now i see more randoms than anything else.
Also - have you included the BF BC2 time i've logged? I remember playing with just Clash and Famas trying to populate the server a couple nights back. All 3 of us were taking turns doing 1 v 2 until one person joined and we played out a map or two until we gave up because NOBODY else joined.
I'll quote one last thing - "It's easy to miss something you are not looking for".
How many of you actually look for the potential recruits in the servers or check HLXstats or anything else?
I've been around for years. I think i've earned the tag. I've logged more hours than half the people you deem "worthy" of the TD tag who turn around and leave and never come back to the servers after a month of having it.
I don't donate. I'm a broke ass mother fucker. Maybe I should, if anything that's the only fault I can see after years having passed and this drama being more or less over with.
Does not re-applying and waiting patiently over and over not count for anything? If I was as immature as I was 3 some years ago when I first started i'd probably rage after 2-3 times - but yet here I am on the fifth or sixth try. Patiently. Waiting. Again.
And as always, everyone has something negative to say about me or my situation.
At the end of the day - i'll still be playing on The TD servers - tag or not.
I think i've covered everything now.

whos leadfoot? i dont think ive ever seen him on. MR you have my vote but that other day is the only time i have seen you help populate the BC2 server and the only reason you did is because i joined vent and told you guys to get your ass into TD and help me populate you two were on a random server before that. and i havent seen you on before or since.

i dont play bc2 much.. especially with this tourney going on that famas set up. I just figured every bit counted. ya know?
