My Steam account got hi-jacked this morning, sent the report to steam support. Everything expensive in my backpack is gone (unusuals, hats, etc)

This really sucks....what will steam support do?

He gave me a link to their profile, or so i thought. It was a phising link and I didnt realize it so when I logged into my account on there, he was able to get all my info, Password, Username, etc.

I didnt tell anyone my password. It was a Phising link that looked exactly like the www.steamcommunity.com, so when i hit login I typed everything in so. Since its a pphising link he can see it!

So i never told anyone my password

Never give out information to any site that you didn't visit manually or that someone gave you. It's the same thing as not giving the last four digits of your SSN to your 'bank' who calls you notifying you of suspicious activity on your credit card; call the bank yourself.

So let me get this straight:
1 ) Random guy adds and msgs you
2 ) Random guy gives you a link and tells you to login
3 ) You do it
4 ) You just told someone your password

You don't ever have to login or anything. You launch Steam, shit just works. I don't understand how people get confused with this, it's mind-boggling...

However stupid it is, I'm sorry it happened to you man. Lesson learned, I hope.

I hate to be a dick here, but there's something suspicious about what you are saying:
According to backpack.tf, your backpack is now private, which it should never be when trading. That's a flag right there.

Also according to backpack.tf, you still have them.

But looking at your inventory via Steam, you don't have them.

So which is it?

By the way, I got the item IDs by looking at your backpack history from yesterday.

Did you not have SteamGuard enabled or something? He/she shouldn't have been able to log into your account, provided you didn't use the same password for your email...
