Still doesn't add up with what you are saying, but regardless of whether I believe you or not, I doubt Steam will help you. I hope they will, but I also doubt it.

All these Outpost Phishers are funny.
But it sucks that people actually fall for their trick.

To explain the situation to OG buckshot jr and any other non-TF2ers a little better.

TF2Outpost is somewhere where you can post trades for the items you are selling.
Phishers have recently taken to using this as a way of stealing peoples accounts.

As an example, one of my previous trades: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13636829
The first comment on that trade was a Phisher.
His comment read something along the lines of "my friend wants to buy your hat, but he cannot add you. please add him here: *insert fake steam url*"
Obviously most people are wise enough not to fall for it, but on the odd occasion people are caught out.

Yes this is exactly what happened and now that I look back at it, its kind of funny because of how stupid I was, but im only human and it happens, but this wont stop me from playing on Steam. Steam needs to fix a few things though. When changing the email on the account they should have it where the email must be confirmed on the other email. Thanks for clearing it up Zackychuu!

If you need help ensuring you don't fall for phishing links, set your Steam Community language to something other than English.

Well, when I got god damn paypal scammed, they got away with $300 worth of shit.

Just saying no offense, this is one of the worst phish links I've ever seen. Dunno how you could fall for it.http://www.steamcornminty
well when someone offers you for your unusual in pure keys and for more then your asking for, you get alittle excited and rush through stuff hoping you can get to them as fast as possible! So yeah, now its very obvious but in the moment when you quickly glance at it, the url looks like www.steamcommunity
