Does anyone play this game? Is anyone playing the HOTS beta?

I was a decent WoL player but havent played for a while until the beta came out. Now Im slowly starting to climb back in the game for multiplayer. However I am also very excited to play the HOTS single player campaign which I thought was very underrated by most people.

i used to play but kinda dropped out. i'm more about the single player/story line. i'm not crazy/korean enough for multiplayer. i find people take that shit way too seriously.
definitely going to pick up the next 2 parts though. ...ya i'm a sucker.

Yea thats what happened to me in WoL. I was really intense about 1v1 multiplayer and it kind of ruined it for me. I was masters league and it was too intense for me tbh. If i wasent giving it my all, I would instantly lose by these players who had no mercy. It was definitely not a game, I could just kick back and enjoy at the end of the day or with a few beers. I switched to team games afterwards and it alleviated much of the problem. Team games are a lot less intense and theres not as much pressure. You get to enjoy the game without the competitive nature of the game.

If anyone plays HOTS beta though, I would love to have a practice partner or something. Im not that good anymore and would appreciate the help but I can also help other people if your lower than my level.

Played quite a bit. Played warcraft 1,2,3 starcraft, broodwar, everything.

blizzard wont let me in hots beta.

I tried it a few times, but I didn't enjoy it at all. Then again, this was when I was new to the whole RTS thing, so maybe I was just too newb to understand it.

If I have a good reason, I might find it again and load it up.

archoNNNN did you play hots beta? Add me on friends list when HOTS comes out, it sounds like your a really good player and I wouldnt mind a good practice partner that can give me tips on my 1v1s.

Im tempted to purchase just Wings of Liberty. My RTS is all CoH, so I don't know how well those skills will transfer to KoreaCraft

Company of heroes is very different from starcraft. Starcraft is what I feel is the prototypical RTS game while CoH is a unique sub genre of RTS that has branched off very far.

Theres very little resemblance between the two and i think map awareness is probably the only real practical skill in CoH that can be useful in starcraft. Other than that, understanding the importance of map control, resource management and unit positioning is the only skills a CoH player can bring to starcraft over someone completely new to RTS.

CoH is pretty boss, I broke my headset while ragequitting on that game , my sniper missed 3 times in a 1v1 and engies just walked up to him and shot him in the face

smashed my HD555's into 6 pieces, had to solder and tape those motherfukers back together.

COH is very micro intensive and requires very good map control patients and strategy

in SC2 you only get to that aspect of the game after diamond league, with good macro you can hit platinum/diamond 1v1 pretty easy
