Something better than TF2 Outpost

Is there another place to try and sell items other than TF2 Outpost? Very sad that almost everyone who sends me trade request from Outpost are just sending links to try to steal accounts.:brains:

I am not selling for real money, just in game items.

Comparatively, Outpost is the best option simply because of how well-known it is. That's also why it is used by these phishers.

I've made it a rule of my own trading to not accept any adds from anyone that doesn't comment on my profile or trade unless I specifically told that person to add me. When I need something quickly or out of the ordinary (like a SF swap), I typically post on Reddit and the BP.tf forums. Otherwise, I just stick with OutPost.

For me, the best place to sell things is the Steam market, as it's easier to buy keys there, even though it's around 2.30$ to 2.40$ USD to get it. But, what's the difference from the Backpack.tf prices? Keys are overpriced in trading because the prices in Backpack.tf went up! You just need to know what to sell..

There is no 'better' sites than TF2Outpost. There is also, no site that is free of phishers and hijackers.

You have your ups and downs however in the end, all of those trading websites are total shit. Why? Simple, DARKLY is the best.

In all seriousness, if I was forced to trade elsewhere, I would prefer to stick to someplace that is A. Known, B. Known Intel *About admins, community members, sponsors, etc. C. If they are SteamRep Affiliated/Partners.

It is a hit or miss, but you want to always to follow common practice and common sense. It does not get anymore simple than this, even though you wish to avoid trading for currency, chances are, the other trader does not care. You will find all kinds of attempts to steal your items, account and more simply by having something of value, both in-game and in cash.

Even with all of this in mind, simply staying on your toes is key to finding someone you are willing to risk trading with. Given you said its items for items, I would think the best alternative is to simply surf on trade servers until you find a match.

I don't really trust outpost to sell items. I would go with backpack.tf if you want to sell your times in bulk. If its only a few items do some good ol'fashioned trading. It may not be as fast but it it is usually the best way.
