If you wanna become more serious...eventually...a trampoline is key. When I was hardcore, I practiced my balls off on the tramp.

I have no idea how much skis cost, but when i picked up snowboarding, I got a used board for $100. I bought boots, helm, and all my snow gear from sports check for under $300. I now snowboard on single black diamonds with the same board. IMO you cant get your equipment cheap, just buy the skis used. Unless you are super serous, the grade of the skis dont matter.

BIOP everywhere ive looked so far Snowboards are so much cheaper than Skis.

So I went to a few palces, Sporting life, SportChek and this small ski joint by Yonge and lawrence. All of them concluded I needed about $800 for a new set. I did find one place though, Taco you been here before its in oakville, im going there next weekend. http://www.corbetts.com/en/default.idigit

I should be able to find skis + Bindings for 300 + Boots 250 + poles 50. which will be within my expanded budget after taking into consideration red envelope money today.

I have considered used but only for skis/bindings/poles. Everyone I talk to is telling me boots should be new buys.

I think snowboarding would be easier, can't suggest skies...I fucking fail at using them.
