Server issues

We've been experiencing a lot of choke on the server. I initially thought it was my ISP so I tried other servers and did some matchmaking to see if the problem persisted. It did not and then other people have also complained about it.

Can the TD people please look into it? Thank you!

Server load is fine, cpu usage is fine. Nothing issues on the server side. May be ISP related as in our host. Try to do a trace route to the IP and post it here.

Low Budget after doing a few test it is server side. Its either isp or cpu. People are only noticing that the server is Choking up. What they don't see is the server is dropping tick as well. When it starts to choke the server will go from 64 down to low 40 then go back to normal after 2/3 of the players die. And this issue is not just one player, It is all 32 players at once.

Not true, this is well known.. It's been brought up in 100 other threads, unfortunately..

No such thing as a good Canadian ISP, let alone a good Toronto ISP. We've tried them all since 2008. All with their own issue or issues. Only other option from what we have now is to move to a US host.

I didn't use to have any choke that's why I was asking. Now it's going from 40-50%. I'll do some tests later on.

i'v complained about it for months, im at wits end trying to fixing it on my end. tried playing tonight and was so fed up with 30%choke spikes i literally came on the forum just to see if anyone else was experiencing this too. lo and behold..
makes me not even want to play which is sad cause i really do love the game

Yup, I have Bell Fibe and I get routed through chicago. I believe Spinny gets routed through Atlanta/Miami also using bell, but he is in Bramladesh. That's a different country.

I can no longer play on your server because of lag now. All other servers are good, but now I get a ping that's consistently in the 80-100 range. Makes me feel all sorts of sad.
