New PC

Hey! I'm thinking about getting a new PC so that I can play BF3. The sole use would be to play that game. $600-$1000 range.

I have very limited computer knowledge so I do not want to build it myself. I was looking at cyberpowerpc.com and ibuypower.com but I don't even know what specs I should be looking for. I'd really appreciate any advice!

I recommend a local computer store thats been there awhile, tell them your intention is to play battlefield 3 and get a quote. 600-1000 you will do alright with an AMD 965 black edition cpu and ATI graphics card, 6850 or better.

building computers nowadays is retarded-proof, once u get teh right parts. u can build a monster pc for around 1300.

<<<< thinks 1300 is slightly retarded to spend on a box, i upgraded from dual to quad core and personally i did not see any difference except when i encode movies to different formats, then it is twice as fast, also maybe a slight increase in grand theft auto IV 20fps to 30fps.

here's a case i found at canada computers, i think it can handle any video card, my bro has an 8800GTX in his.... good deal because case is nice and quiet, and the psu is decent.

also found this video card 480gtx for $200, i am tempted to go buy it right now, but there is a chance i guess something is wrong, and i would need a new case which would be a bitch to carry on my bike.

PS3's a pretty good budget PC, you'll save about $600 on costs and they have all the good games
