my other options for a non-rusty RS was either a guy in Ottawa (he also wanted 8000), or a guy in Markham, but he had alot of aftermarket parts and a busted wheel bearing, also the interior of the car looks really bad, and he wanted 10K

there was also one in ottawa with a custom paint job and a JDM STi engine swap (2.0 turbo), also wanted 10K, but he said there was like 270KM on the chassis or something big like that, also its a 98 which means no LSD in the rear.

everything else that was selling for ~5000ish was either rusty or not kept very well, you could tell from the pictures alone.

i paid a premium i know (almost any other 2001 japanese car would cost 4-5k at most), but this is a relativly rare car, and i have some serious long term plans for it. (see solosprint/racing thread i made awhile ago)

because its rare, and is actually a very potent performance car.

plus i hate new cars, all the electronics shit scares me, i dont want to own a car i cant fix myself. I like my throttle to be connected to my pedal with a cable, not some electronic gizmo, and i don't want to unscrew 50 bolts to change a headlight bulb.

for the last 9 years ive been dicking around with a VW Golf, got tired of spending money on performance parts into a car that was never ment for performance, atleast now i have a good (and rust-less_ base to go from.

we had a mustang with a 500 hp supercharged motor come out, he just couldnt drive it on a race track, had to put on a lower boost pulley to stay straight.

prop, mucho respect for having that much power, but how much of that do you use on the street?

you should come out to a real race track :), i already got 35mm recruited, maybe Narf too if he ever gets his shit in order :)

there's a pretty nice looking dodge stealth r/t twin turbo at CFB trenton here for $5,000...i don't think there's anything wrong with it either, which is weird, guy must need the money...i like the body stylings of the 3000gt better, but damn...
