This new megaupload uses loopholes so that it will not get booked again. First of all, this time its outside US domain. However the real gem of this new site is that it will encrypt your file as its being uploaded to the server. Then downloads are encrypted on the way down. With this format, megaupload will never actually know what file you uploaded or even downloaded. They know nothing about the file giving you more privacy but mostly so they can claim they did not know illegal files were being sent.
You can probably bet your ass that kim dotcom's legal team did a huge check on how this loophole works and so it probably will work even if everybody and their mom knows that people are uploading shady stuff.

Kim Dotcom is making sure he doesn't accidentally put any of his servers in the USA this time which led to him being arrested last time hence all the New Zealand url's. You should check out his launch party for Mega. He timed it exactly to the minute one year after the FBI raided what can only be called his compound (take a look at his house...) with a staged helicopter raid and a big speech saying he'll never be stopped. That's what surprises me to this day, that they went into another country, the FBI, and raided his home.
I wonder when other countries will do that to us, anyone recall one of the strongest trackers that got shut down by the Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs?
