March Tournament!

I will be running the next tourney and I thought we could do a more fun tournament this time around

So 1st 16 are in and also vote for option 1 or 2 for what type of tourney you wish to play.

1 - Random Race!

the format We are going to use will be

4 groups (A,B,C,D) round robin.

the top 2 players from each group will move to bracket A
The bottom 2 player from each group will move to bracket B
from there it will be a single elimination best of 3


2 - Team 2v2s

Double elimination tournament.

Teams will be put together, on skill and players preference.

each player will be ranked biased on there W/L record in prier tournaments and will need to provide a list with your top 3 choices of teammates. (PM me or place in forum with your vote. (if a player on your list ends up not in this tourney just update once we get all 16 players))

I will place final team together from there.

(for this to work everyone needs to be pro active about posting and setting up games in advance. I will have strict and enforced deadlines.)

Reason these SC Tourney's work is because it's only two people playing.
Too many people per game = fail.

Fair point - it's hard enough sometimes getting 2 people to get together, 4 is probably even more tricky

is GSL and ICCUP the same thing when it comes to map pools?

nope ICCup maps have less mineral patches per base location, 6 vs 8 on standard blizzard or GSL maps. GSL maps are also much larger than standard. So ya GSL and or ICCup maps are fine to make the pool out of.
