Aight this is my idea for the server MUCH NEEDED map revamp ok. First off you guys need to decide which TD member will be responsible for this b/c it's very simple. Every week Put up 2 new maps or maps that have been up before but ppl say they wanna see back or something. Also every week encourage ppl to come to the website here, or find a way to do it on the server itself and vote on which 2 maps should be taken off the votemap list due to non play or just overall tiredness of the maps. I suggest this b/c I play the server alot and I notice that certain maps get played only and others just get RTV or don't get chosen and honestly should just be taken off. I suggest you TD guys suggest amongst your selfs to figure out which 2 maps go up each week.

Now i'm sure dust2 would probably be on that map list to be voted off but it is good map can't deny it lol that's why ppl love it :D like me. Dust2 and Office due get played alot but they are as I say is a way for new ppl come come to the server b/c it's a map they know and love. I really think outlaws should be taken off it's just stupid.

Now I think TD should try these maps out on the server and see how they fair CS_Assault(T sided i know), De_compound, de_prodigy, de_aztec(ct sided i know).

For maps like Assault and aztec and prod to work. TD members should be picking the unstacked side no matter what. Not even auto. We already know some non TD regulars will stack but we have to try to even teams since we do not have swap.

Just a thought.

good post BM. we are working on it, fucking same 4 maps grinding every fucking day. fucking variety needed. i miss prodigy

If d2 and office are removed, consider 90% of the server population displeased. Outlaws brings randomness, but I agree, it's full of aids.
For maps favoured by either CT or T, consider this, TD members are for the most part considerate of disadvantages, however some need improvement (will not name). I like the idea of voting every 1-2 weeks, preferably 2, since maintaining a healthy rotation on a weekly basis may be overwhelming for one set person.

yeah , im remembering things nao.

prodigy, italy, season, compound, those maps stall hard, especially italy, cts are just not willing to run down a long hall into a firing squad. =campfest. we have to work together to make those maps playable. aggressive anti stacking + objective enforcements.

its about 1000x more complicated than u think. every time we fuck with the server, we risk epic failure and having to reinstall everything from zero.

Thanks for the interest, but:
-theres already a few threads on this, have a read
- your map suggestions do not fit Td. Those maps are 100%, one sided, campfests.

As .44 said, all of TD is currently working on it, and we need people like you to help oyt, so read the thread before this n post some cool/popular maps!

Perhaps a silly question, but is there anything in particular that needs to be done?

Is it a technical problem that someone can help with or is it a people problem (like getting everyone internally in agreement about the policy) that we just need to let you work through?

[As an example of the former, someone who had some CSS admin experience as well as web dev experience could put together a web page that handled the voting and generated the appropriate config files (so all the admin had to do was copy & paste).]

I'm sure there's issues I'm not aware of, but what kind of hosting setup are you using? What kind of management software are you using? If you're one screwup away from reset, it sounds like a better (automated) backup system might be in order. (I apologize if this is discussed elsewhere. I wasn't able to find a thread, but if so, just point me there.)

We're using a Leroy® system. It's prone to fail. :D
