Lasik eye surgery

like a boss! What is the determining factor if you are suppose to do PRK over lasik?

With lasik the eye never heals. You always have the flap. If you take a bump to the head it can derp the flap. Lasik is not recommended for athletes. For inactive fatties like you it's fine.

I have never actually seen a missing post on a milk carton, do they really do that? lol?

and a better question... How do they get those missing posts on your bags of milk up in Canadia?

Only really matters for athletes participating in contact sports, and even they can just get PRK.

i thought laser eye surgery didn't require the flap cut :knockout:!! oh well.

i have pretty bad eyes, -4.0 in the left and -3.25 in the right. hope it doesn't drive up the price too much, or that i can even have it done. i wonder what the correction cut off is.

still intrigued either way.

The cost doesn't change based on the severity of your eyesight (at least at TLC where I got it done). They do have certain restrictions and cutoffs, but generally only with the actually depth of the eye and not the quality of your vision. You can book a consult with TLC for free and they'll tell you if you're eligible.

I don't regret getting it done one bit, makes my life a lot easier lol. Recovery is pretty quick too.

in Windsor, Dr Teyfor does it for about 6 grand, but he uses a laser (PRK?). my cousin still says fuck that shit despite teyfor being one of the most experienced people on the planet. with some 60,000 surgeries under his belt

6k seems very steep. I believe PRK is priced about the same as Lasik and Lasik should never run you that much. I paid just over $1200 a eye and I by no means went to some shammy Lasik center, I went to the best in the Midwest, Doctor Whiting's clinic. Who currently has 88,000 surgeries under his belt.

But really, 6k wouldn't be THAT ridiculous if that was the price of Lasik.. I mean the cost of contacts alone for me was $550+ a year...

What contacts do you buy holy shit!
I wear my contacts every day, I barely go over $180 a year. =\

I've had 3 LASIK/PRK consults, all around 3k for both eyes.
