Italic font glitch

When writing a word in italics and continuing on with the sentence, if you backspace the forum will revert your cursor to the end of the italisized (sp?) word, therefore deleting the word. It's annoying as fuck, anyone have this issue?

Tried Chrome, Firefox (yuck) and I.E.

This could be due to one of a few things, most possible one would be the forum setting you have on. Go here http://www.darklygaming.com/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions and change the Message Editor Interface, try going Standard rather than enhanced if you have it set as such.

Secondly would be your Java is outdated, visit the Oracle site to update.

Thirdly, try using Firefox or Chrome to disable all add-ons and extensions.

That's cruel, Firefox is much more sturdier and reliable than Chrome, but Chrome has Speed. IE or any other browser is true degradation.

shrug. you turning your back on a product doesn't effect its ability to be improved :) Microsoft isn't a bad company, they know how to design software - IE 10 will probably be taking a lot of cues from FF and Google Chrome.

Same, with Firefox 11.0

That's cruel, Firefox is much more sturdier and reliable than Chrome, but Chrome has Speed. IE or any other browser is true degradation.

All valid suggestions, and I appreciate them all! However, I use Chrome, ZERO add-ons, and I have advanced TO use italics etc. Also, my java is always up to date as I play Minecraft a lot. Thanks though, I'm still investigating!

That is indeed strange, if you have a second browser, try using that.

I've noticed now on Firefox, how the Quick Reply and Advanced are staring to act really strange. I'd bring it up on suggestion but...I don't want to risk being set on fire. .X.

Actually, they had their chance, life's too short to suffer upsets. Microsoft is indeed a terrible company, they've cut off so many possible profits and investments, I'm not even laughing. Zune anyone? Firefox and Chrome will only continue to get better, and better. We use Internet Explorer at my job, IE 7. Obviously, Microsoft has yet to make it compatible with Corporate and Company Applications. Sure, those applications could easily change to accept it but that's costly and the compatibility is all that's being asked.

Its fast, it rapes my computer and has the option to "Stack" tabs. I like it.

Firefox isn't terrible but half the time either crashes for no apparent reason or just doesn't work[Mostly concerning Adf.ly].

IE i just.. uh.. It is slow and not stable.

Google Chrome Is made by Google, i don't like Google.(A: The problem with Facebook is that there are too many people! B: So we're gonna make a social network with no people on it? A: Exactly! C: How should we name it? A: Google+?)

As far as buckshot's problem goes i can't really think of anything about it...

Come on, man, you must have a more convincing argument than 'they released the Zune' :- ) But i digress, not trying to convince anyone to give up their bias'

I'd suggest to try different browsers if he hasn't since I'm seeing considerable delays and glitches on Firefox. Hopefully he'll be able to find a solution.

Firefox is like your tank browser, not the fastest but the most durable and adaptable there is. If you're having issues on speed, there's several things to try out, unlike other competitros, you're shit out of luck.

Its not biased, anyone remember Halo 2 PC? (Aka Vista?)

Anyone remember the 10,000 issues with Vista when it launched and half of it was not addressed till the second service pack, which before that time, 7 came out?

Anyone remember the Xbox Service issues and denial of revival of stolen/hijacked accounts? Most recent once-in-a-lifetime was done a few months ago for only one user, after that, forget about reclaiming anything.

No, there's several things, hundreds of things why I hate Microsoft, but I still use it, better than an Apple. (Depending on what you do, that will be different for everyone).

You really don't bring up very good points. Operating Systems have errors, all software does, including but not limited to Microsoft competitors. I can't really comment on their xbox live account policies.

But yeah, I remember those things. And I remember Windows 3.1, Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 2k, and Windows 7 - all great Operating Systems that are extremely complex well developed pieces of software. I also remember the Original XBox and the XBox 360, both generally considered to be good gaming consoles. I remember Bill Gates and all the money he throws at humanitarian causes. I remember IE9 was actually significantly better than IE8 and that IE10 is leading the way in HTML5 compliance. I remmeber Visual Studio, a damn fine enviroment for programming. I remember C# / .NET - an incredibly powerful programming language / framework created by Microsoft.

So yeah, bias.
