Internet upgraded, when does the increase in speed occur?

So as the title says I upgraded my internet, when should I expect it to actually be implemented? When the ISP does an update or something or I reset my router?

Who's your ISP? When I changed mine, it was minutes. All it takes is for them to push the new contract file to your modem.
My ISP is Rogers and the increase happened while I was still on the phone.

I have CenturyLink, I had TWC previously at my other house and it upgraded I believe immediately so I dunno.

It all depends on your service provider. I know some providers who still implement any changes on the next billing cycle as opposed to being quick (minutes, hours, a day etc.). Phone them to find out, as we can only guess, really.

Ask for a reset of your connection, then reset the router. (Assuming the billing cycle already updated, if not, I'd wait before calling.)

Or, you can do as Dean recommended, move to Kansas. :ilied:

The Google network doesn't reach very far so basically you're limited to the speeds of whatever higher-tier networks it may be connected to. Would suck to move to Kansas and then figure that out.
