I play in a cover band, and acdc is my favorite. Crowds generally hate cover tunes, until ACDC, and then they. fucking. love. you.

We might be soulmates.

I can play the intro to thunderstruck on guitar. Nothing else. I can't play ANY other song on guitar. But I specificly learned thunderstruck's into just so i could impress people. and then when they ask for another song, calmly inform them that I can't play guitar.

I play piano and violin really well, though.

Well, both are string instruments, so you've pretty much already got chording and music theory down.

Plus violin neck work has got to be very similar (thumb against the back, finger tips down kinda thing).

And I would imagine playing a violin significantly harder than playing a guitar due to the bowed(?) nature of the strings.

I have a special intro that I play to thunderstruck that drives one of my band mates NUTS. I lead in super slow, pulling off, hitting on the scale notes to the song, but not quite playing it, but getting closer and closer and then after about 2 minutes, I'm playing it, and people get it.

He just wants me to kick into it immediately, so now I just do it to piss him off.
