A Little Darkly
First off, sorry to confuse you with your member "47". I used to use this name, but now I spell half of it (incorrectly on purpose) for some sense of uniqueness. I have been using this name since quake 2 cause I was born on April 7th (4/7) and the number has significant meaning to me every day.
I'm sure you'll see me around the TD cs pub server, probably really late because I do way too much shit in the run of a day :X. I gave up on cs for years (multiple times) due to the people it attracts nowadays, but I'm going to get back into making maps.
I bought hl2 gold when it first came out because I used to map for HL1 engine, and before that quake 2, but I hated CS:S and HL2 so much & pretty much stopped playing games around then so it never went anywhere. About two years ago I made some maps, some of them were pointless so I never bothered uploading them, here's the two I did.
http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/134386 <- cs_fellujah, this was a test to see how good framerate I could get without following standard BS mapping procedures. If you don't know what this is, you'll notice most maps have specific areas which require you to go through smaller areas to get to. This is for the "Vis" part of the engine which controls your video card to only render what area you're in. Fellujah is the opposite, it is one giant area. It would be fun but everyone just ends up sniping, and I should have made it de_ not cs_. 1.5 weeks for completion (including tons of custom textures).

I'm working on a new map, that will be "normal", and after finishing it I'm totally down to do any requests if you guys want anything specific. I fully understand the HL2 engine for maping capability and entity use.
