just to point out one obvious BS statement in that video:
there is no such thing as the North American Union
YES it is something people have discussed and considered, but these people are economists and scholars. only one reporter ever covered it? hmmmm i wonder if that's because it never happened and belongs in a tabloid, not on network TV news?
that being said, there have been some steps towards a "NAU," but to imply that such a thing exists already is just foolish. and even so I am skeptical of any north american union happening within the "near" future, let alone a "world union" bahahahahaha

I believe Lou Dobbs is right and I remember seeing that report about the NAU. Bush had signed some trade deal, or at least is was through some channel of trade to bypass the US congress to establish something akin to an NAU. W5 did a show on it too. Right now it amounts to "free'er" trade amoung the 3 countries, which is really(for now) dealing with transportation of goods across borders. So a registered Mexican truck driver has the right to drive goods straight into Canada and vica versa. Before either trucker could only go so far into the states and his goods had to be transferred to a US carrier for the completion of the next border crossing.
