so I'm reading on reddit that some asshole went ahead and bought up ALL of the glock "groundwater" skins, which went for like a cent each or something. Then sold one back to himself for (or another account) for 400 bucks, making the market value 400

he then bets on CSGOJACKPOT using his 400 dollar glocks for a highly inflated chance at winning actual, high-end items.

so it's like walking into a Casino with fake Benjamins

people already hoard weird things in the market aswell like those 1cent skins you get for free.

he's basically saying that "hey, you know that little lock on your door can't stop a battering ram, so i'ma go ahead and bust your door down to prove it"

his only safety net is the fact that this simply isn't covered anywhere under the user guidelines so he is "technically" innocent, but I fucking hate motherfuckers that cheat the system and then claim immunity because people didn't invent laws yet to stop their shitty behavior.

Well, he did tell the admins of the site about loophole, and the admins just ignores him, so that's more like a IN YOUR FACE BITCH~ action.

This is the internet. Whether he is telling the truth or not is in the air. They said contact with admins was made three days ago and then committed the act, because admins ignored him. With the 7-day trade restriction, how is that possible? They would have to buy all the items before contacting the admins.

Whatever the case, I have no sympathy for anyone who loses skins or cases from choosing to gamble with an unregulated third party.

You dont have to like people like this, but it takes these types of individuals to make the system aware of gaping holes in order to fill em in. What would be worse is if this had not come to light and a small group of exploiters continuously exploit this loophole for profit (which likely is occuring) but at least it can be addressed and hopefully patched with a user agreement update n what not. Wither way, there are always gonna be weasels but u cant hate a guy for takin advantage of a system that allows it to be taken advantage of.

To me, what he did is cheat. The way he exploited the valuation system is the exact same way a player would exploit CS and play with wallhax or some other shit. This is life. Sometimes you park somewhere you're not supposed to and don't get a ticket; sometimes you rock a vending machine. The only difference here is this is all worthless, meaningless bullshit and kids who keep dropping their parents visa's into their Steam Wallet got taken and now they're mad lol I find it funny.
