same problem here, been happening since probably late november...as soon as a map loads it crashes to desktop and gives me a "cs:go has stopped working" and then tries to re-launch the game, this is when it says the bit about failing to start game. seems to me the crash is causing the game to try to re-launch, but too soon, before the failed instance of the application is finish running (crashing). All other games work fine, including BF3, and the system shows no other signs of instability. ran the latest memtest, no errors. tried bumping the northbridge and DRAM voltages 1 and 2 incremements, i thought maybe the memory controller was shitting the bed, this is after resetting BIOS to default thinking somehow my OC had become unstable. it was at 3.2ghz with the FSB/DRAM divider so the RAM was still at 800mhz, so pretty conservative. I thought at first the power supply was shot, but if i can play BF3 on high, why would GO crash?
My Specs:
Core 2 Q9400
DFI Blood-Iron P35 T2RL
8gb G.Skill DDR2-800
ATI HD 5850 1gb
Antec HCG 620w PSU
WD Black 500gb
Windows 7 Professional x64
I searched the common forums, and tried reinstalling steam, and reloading the game, tried disabling multi-core rendering which supposedly fix the problem for some people, i even tried the previous VGA driver version, cause i think a new one just came out...nothing has worked, i'm stumped...anyone with nvidia cards having this problem, maybe it IS a video driver problem.
