Yea...anyway:

First let me point out a few things here - the only people who have a say in whether a Admin App is accepted or rejected is Staff members - so until you hear it officially from one of us.....

Second use of the mic is just fine, chatting is just fine - it becomes a problem only when you are preventing others from using the mic to trade, or when you monopolize the mic so no one else can get a word in. Courtesy is the rule here, display the same level of respect you would like from others in regards to mic use.

Regarding use of Premium - so long as you are using Premium you purchased through kills or keys, this is perfectly acceptable - that's why it's there. I have to concur with @Fear The Elderly on this point though - use it through menu only please. Premium has a timeout feature intended to prevent spamming (60 seconds between Effects commands) and these are the only ones that would be a concern.

Regarding language - there are damn few restrictions about language on our servers (we are a 18+ community), though where that exact line falls is a matter of interpretation for the Staff present - nothing I have seen or heard from you even comes close to crossing that line. Discriminatory language is usually the demarcation point for this - and most of us have little tolerance for that, but most anything else goes.

Regarding spam - don't fucking do it. If you would like to lead, you need to lead by example. Staff members don't spam because we are responsible for ensuring others don't.

Last - a couple things to keep in mind - we don't often approve apps from players under 18 though it has happened before; and - we will only approve those folks we know and feel that we can trust to behave in a manner that reflects well on both themselves and the community.

I completely agree with what you're saying. I can admit to spamming. Only once though - Darude - Sandstorm. I won't do it again, trust me. I came in here expecting to get responses like this, and even more so not getting admin. I applied because I would like to help the community.

I do know that I can help via !report and /admins, etc. But sometimes admins aren't on.

Regarding the Mic, I do take frequent brakes from it, to see if people wanna talk. Half of the time I interupt people on accedent by us starting the mic at the same time. Coincidince? I think not. (Illumintati, for sure, right?)

I've stopped "abusing" premium altogether now. I just go big and stay in spawn :P

A quick note - most of the stuff people have called me out for were in the past. Recent past, but I always listen to admins if they tell me not to do something. As I said before, I came in here NOT expecting to get admin. I don't think it's a game, or gives me a huge advantage so I can ban/kick whoever I want. I know admin is a serious job. I have taken it seriously in previous circumstances. I love the darkly community, especially people like you, tick, and nano, and kandi... lots of people in this community are sure to be life-long friends. Or, until computers die down, or TF3 comes out (if Gabe ever learns how to count to 3!). Therefore, I thought I would apply for admin. I feel I owe the community. So I wanted to help it.

Thanks for the advice everybody. I sure will work on it, a lot. Maybe I can apply again next year. Or who knows, maybe I'll get it with this application. Either way, I'll still continue to support darkly as much as I can. Thanks for your time of reading this.

I'd just like to say a couple things - under the circumstances, I'm pretty sure this application is going to be rejected. I would like to point out a couple things about my chat logs though, because I do realize now that yes, that was what I said. It was at 10 AM and I didn't know what I was doing. As for the statements on try-hards, yes I did call people try hards. I admit to that actually, it was ripper killing me, I was mad, I regret my actions greatly. I did complain quite a bit about this, I cursed at people etc. and although I do believe a lot of other people have done it too, it IS a bad thing. Actions have consequinces, and this is no exception. I am greatly sorry.

Also, I'm not just expecting to be forgiven. I know it'll take some time for you people to get used to me. So in the mean time, is there any advice you guys would like to give me? I know the rules, but I would benefit from some guide-lines as to what could help me (and or my application) in the future. Thanks, in advance, for your time.

(NOTE: I have tried to follow the advice given to me by Dark and tried my best to be nice to all of you, but if there is still something you guys are worried about please alert me as soon as you can and I'll work on it. I don't want to get on your bad sides.)

Let me just say this - if you want to know who's advice to take to heart, remember who it is that approves admin apps.....

Not to say that regular players might not have something beneficial to add, but at the end of the day the Staff at large accept or reject apps based on how well they fit into our group and uphold the standards/attitude/approach we are trying to promote....

Thanks so much for the advice... I'll try to follow your guidelines as much as possible (i've been trying my best to anyway).
