i wouldnt go crazy with OCing with an air CPU cooler. You can do some manual OCing in the bios. wouldnt go up more than .2 with an air cooler or your gonna risk burning up your CPU in a few months

naww bro, if you have a 120mm fan with heatpipes you can push it pretty good. just make sure you do a stress test with Prime95 to check for stability and peak temp. keep it under 80 degrees @ full load and you should be fine. (70 if you plan on keeping your CPU for longer than 5 years)

Stock everything:

Win 7 64
i5 2500K (stock cooler) going to install H60 and OC this weekend hopefully! It's been sitting on my desk for 2 weeks now...
180g Corsair Force 3 SSD
EVGA GTX 570
EVGA Z68 FTW board
16g DDR3 Corsair 1600

Ex mine runs around 80C @ 100% load on all 8 cores. its a i7 930 running at 4.25 Ghz with Hyperthreading on. That's with liquid cooled triple rad with 6 fans on it (shared with a video card tho)
The i7 can handle anything under 90 without any serious damage to the chip. my processor is 3 years old now and it's rock solid. once you push the vcore around the 1.25 volt mark you will start to see your temps rise quite a bit.
thats why I recommend stress testing your overclock for at least 24 hours with Prime95 to make sure you are stable.

Nice 4.25. I have always been a little scared to push my temps that high. I use liquid cooling as well and love the results. I'm gonna start working on more overclocking now that im home all day lol
