might want to try adblock plus and noscript extensions for firefox too,

noscript allows a finer control of what javascript and flash is running in your browser, makes it quite a bit harder for you to get a virus, and not a total pain in the ass after you add some trusted sites ...

theres a noscript and add block addon for chrome now too :) i love em makes loading anything on the web much faster
