right now astronomers have no idea what this is, there best bet is it is the result of 2 asteroids that collided and maintained there momentum. but the problem with that is that the trail starts almost 400mt behind the object rather than on the object which would be expected. they have never seen an object break apart like this before. always cool when we find something new in space. its probably just a comet but even still
