the game keeps resetting my resolution along with a bunch of other visual settings to 1440x900 and low. i've set it back to my native res of 1680x1050 time and time again but it keeps reverting. maybe the update everyone was talking about screwed something up.

anyone else having this problem?

Do you have Cloud enabled? If so, turn that shit off, set your settings and you should be fine.

but seeing how i dont have any other computers that run steam, i dont think cloud should make a difference. nonetheless, i shall try turning it off

Ok, have you ever modified your config?

If not, delete the sum'bitch.

32-bit Windows: C:\programfiles\steam\steamapps\common\counter-strike global shit\csgo\cfg

64-bit windows: C:\programfiles(x86)\steamapps\common\counter-strike global piece of shit\csgo\cfg

Locate "config" and delete it.

Restart steam, launch GO, set your graphics properties.

(Edit) I found the launch command, it's -w x -h x so in your case, add -w 1680 -h 1050. It works, I have try it.


So go to your steam library -> right click csgo -> properties -> set launch options, type in -w 1680 -h 1050, ok -> close - > GAME ON~

I was suggesting to edit the config file that BJ have posted but you need a autoexe files to be able to launch custom config file settings, because cs will rewrite to default every time you start up the game.

Just config.cfg. The 360 is for xbox controllers, which for this POS game might be good to use. The config_default.cfg is I dunno lol

Ok, so you'll need to add the commands to launch options.

1 ) Open steam, right-click on cs:goisfuckingsoshit, click properties
2 ) Click on Set Launch Options and type the below in

-w 1650 -h 1080

This is a fix, but I'm not sure about your graphics settings and shit. There's a root cause, for sure.
