Yup. Nikon and Canon are like the Hondas and Toyotas of cameras -- good price, lots of accessories and compatible lenses that are of other, cheaper brands. Very noob friendly.

Tried all that.

Nope. Installed twice, also tried the repair tool that comes with the launcher to verify the installation files. Twice per install I've checked and on different days.

My system is always up-to-date on drivers and Windows updates. Also have tried with FW and AV off

Hourglass for a few seconds, during that time, CPU usage goes up to 25% from 2%. Then it drops back down to 2%. Doesn't show up in process table or task manager.

I've already tried looking in to that and even explicityly specifying that it runs in compatibility mode. Also, there are no errors or logs because it doesn't even get that far.

Same thing whether I launch it thru the laucher or exo.exe. So what that tells me is that it's not the launcher not launching exo.exe, but rather the exo.exe not doing anything or that it tries to start up and fails after 5 seconds. Task manager doesn't even show it.
