XP Glitch or Bug

I got on I had 6 xp went mining for about 15-45 minutes, I never died or anything. It's just my XP went away. really weird. Only thing I can tell you what I did is

>Typed /spawn
>Sold my cobblestone
>Bought Diamond Pickaxe
>Went home put iron in my furnace
>Noticed XP was gone.

UPDATE**
>XP came back after I collected Iron Ingots from the furnace.

It's just because the 2 worlds are different.
Once you go to spawn from the main world, your xp 'dissapears' but once you go back to the main world and pick some xp up, it comes back to normal.

Nothing to worry about, seeing as it doesn't completely wipe your xp.
But it is a bit confusing.
