XBMC (X Box Media Center)

Not sure if this is the right spot to post but I'm assuming some of you guys have a big flat screen HDTV like me and enjoy watching movies while intoxicated...

Well here is a program that acts somewhat like Windows Media Center, accept I like it because it works with my favourite site (IceFilms lets you watch free movies and new releases in theatres)

Hmm. I never had the original but yeah it should work I think.

But i could show you how to create loops out of magnetic tapes!
So you get movie that are still in theaters? Good quality?

Streaming usually results in shit quality even if it's a good source. So a cam or telesync + being streamed = fail. Then again I'm a quality freak.

There are exceptions, R5's and DVD Screeners do show up here and there while movies are still in theatres.

Actually streaming doesn't reduce the quality unless it's converted to flash (you can stream high quality .avi or .mkv files). IceFilms uses DivX Web Player or if you use this tool XBMC the quality is DVD/R5/SCR quality.

I use the basic windows media centre. Never really needed anything else

I think these guys are talkin about using an xbox WITH a PC that has Windows Media Centre to stream movies over at a good quality.
