This happened when you clicked that pinion pot of gold ad, correct? If so, then you could very well be getting that mouse. I'm not sure exactly how this works on their end for the pot of gold thing. Did it ask you to put your email address or any other information? I would think that's how they would get in touch with you, if not then maybe it keeps your steamid and they will add you on steam.

I believe it is a ticket into the monthly raffle for prizes. Everytime you watch an in-game motd ad you can click on the pot o gold once the ad is finished and enter your email for an entry into the raffle.
