Windows XP Mode

Offered by Windows Professional, Windows Ultimate or Windows Enterprise, "Windows XP Mode" offers a virtual PC-style of running Windows XP while in Windows 7. It's great for program compatability and for accomplishing tasks that are currently not available (in my case, using PakRat for CS:S mapping).

Here's some screenies!

I don't know what PakRat is, have you tried running a game in that XP VM?

When you build a map you make a .BSP. along with that .BSP you have radar files, sound files and text files (amongst other shit) that have to be in specific folders in steam for shit to work. Pakrat allows you to pack all of those files into the .BSP so when you doenload the map, you don't have to download all of the other files and put them into the right folders because they come WITH the map. THAT'S pakrat.

@ hinouchi: pakrat may have an incompatability where it says it places files in the .BSP but it might really not. I use xpmode to completely eliminate that issue.
And no, check the specs picture, its not meant for gaming...
