Windows 7 or Shitty Chipset?

So recently I've had to change my Motherboard from a P45 Chipset to a G33 Chipset.
Since I had to reinstall anyway, I installed Windows 7 Pro x64 (It's legit Nard!)

Since the reinstall I've noticed a 100FPS drop in CS:S, and BC2 is now unplayable when everything is Maxed. Not only that but it still chugs when everything's on Medium.

Any Thoughts?

What video card are you using?

Using dx 9 for BC2? default is at dx10 which it's choppy as fuck for me with GTS 360.

Ya dude maxed out bc2 is shit on any machine. I personally think DICE fucked up large. I play on medium even though my machine can handle more... playing maxed was alays choppy, laggy, and edgy (AA on or off).

Ya take hinouchi's advice: in your documents, you can find the settings.ini or setup.ini and change from auto to dx 9.

im running BC2 at max ecverything dx10 with a middle of the road mobo and an ati 5850 black edition gpu. ive never had any problems with it? there are alot of people useing the I7s that have problems in frostbyte engien games. it dosnt play nice with hyperthreading aparently? but what gpu are you useing and what cpu.

and to everyone else in this thread he took a 100 fps lose in CSS (wich is not effected by BC2 settings or dx10)

if you have an old video card put it in your comp and see if you get reduced performace. just to make sure i read that right you got a new motherboard or you upgraded the chipset on an existing board?

mobo is important stuff.. try your setup on another board if u can get a hold of one, even of its only to try it out. gonna take mad time

it could also be a bad instal of windows? ive had it happen wherer it just corupted on install and nothing worked well. had to reformat and do a reinstal, installing xp again will show if thats the case tho.
