Windows 7/8 Dual Boot?

Is it possible to run Windows 7 and Windows 8 on the same hard drive?

I'm totally guessing but don't you just create a partition and then install it? Is it really that simple?

I'd like to try out Windows 8, however I don't really wanna switch on my desktop though I might on my laptop for shits and giggles.

EDIT: and I agree with 47. I don't need a newer version of Windows 7 with a phone interface on it in another 'space' (COUGH another Mac ripoff COUGH, they've had it for years, COUGH)...

Trying to dual boot off the same drive didn't actually work for me. I got W8 installed, however I was never able to switch back to W7. Luckily I had an image of my ssd. Btw W8 sucks giant dick, fuck that shit. Not even putting it on my laptop.

agreed i tried it at school, raged so hard dropped all my courses, wept for the future generations, and checked in to the hospital, such a steaming pile of shit 'tis

They said Dual Boot would be locked, you couldn't boot multiple OSes on the new PCs, they said.

I think I'll still stay with Windows 7 until all the bugs are worked out, which, like always, they come up.

Ya mon, because anytime you install Windows on the same hard-drive where another OS is installed, the newest installation of Windows loves to fuck the boot partition of the 2nd OS... so you just gotta run a repair off the w7 disk for that partition. Kind of a pain in the ass, but it works..

And yes, w8 does suck, I already went back to 7 on my laptop.
