sure, ill go first.

210 single rep max. generally do sets of 10 @ 175 lbs. And for demarcio's faggotry, from the chest.

But that was towards the end of my senior year and I haven't bench once in the last 5 months so it's probably less now. I pretty much do curls and the occasional 50 push ups/100 total reps of various ab workouts. just to maintain or if I feel like i've been really lazy lately.

also, i'm a skinny fucker. 195 lbs, 6 foot 3.

This one gym I worked at a few years ago. Just for a show.. I did push-ups with the receptionist sitting on my back.

I don't train for strength though, entirely different style of training.. leading to an overall different image.

A few years ago, a couple of trainers and I had a benching competition. I ended up winning with either 8 or 10 (I can't remember) of 275.

I haven't a fucking clue how much my max is, but I would do set reps, switching off to do different exercises in between. (power sets)

I would do (including bar)
125 x 12
135 x 10
145 x 8
155 x 6
125 x 12

And I would do all that 3 times. In the sport of rugby, having "show muscles" is absolutely pointless and tends to hurt you in the long run (big muscles need a lot of blood).

I'm not sure what its called, but building "long" strength is far more important for most sports conditioning.

but now that I haven't trained in a good 6 months, my muscly 32 yold hot bot is looking its age :(

sucks, and I have absolutely zero motivation to hit hte gym... :(

Functional training is completely different though. All depends on your motivation.

Your routine is more of endurance than anything else. As you said, "show muscle"s are pointless in rugby.. But, "endurance muscles" are pointless on a beach.

There are far to many variables since there are multiple desired outcomes, all of which having completely different methods and effects.

Going back to my initial post, this thread is irrelevant.
