I'm not sure that's wise. He caught those cops on a good day. There is nothing to say they couldn't have arrested him under suspicion, because all the cop has to say is, "I detected the smell of alcohol", whether its true or not.
As a point of fact, guess who has to pull pieces of a teenaged, gored up body out of a car wreck when a drunk decides the road is his playground? The cop.
So cut em some slack.

cops, fire fighters and paramedics are all first responders, depends on the situation and who is closest, cops get called for almost everything.

People who hate cops piss me off. There are plenty of douche bag cops out there but the vast majority are just dudes trying to make a living and doing the best they can. I always just talk to them openly and honestly, joke with them, and they're cool with me.
It's guys like the one in the video who push cops over the limit. If I were that officer I would have dragged him out of the car and placed him under arrest for being a dickhead. Seriously, "Nope, I haven't" isn't so hard to say. If DUI's weren't such a big killer in the U.S. and Canada then I would say that these things are "infringing on rights" or whatever, but a simple stop and answering a question could save a life.
If I were a more vindictive person I would hope that the guy in the video's family gets hit by a drunk driver... but I can't even wish it on a tool like that.

This guy is straight lucky, and that lady Sargent (sp?) is one of the best I've seen on film. All the cop has to say is "I smell booze" and you're done, they can run through all kinds of tests. Remember folks, suspicion /= proof, so you're fucked either way.
Also, this shit wouldn't happen in Canada. They'd straight tell you to get out the car and carry on. Big ups to cops, they take a lot of shit. I believe anyone who's been "harassed" and "assaulted" by cops has earned it, with all of the gangster bullshit, guns etc...

holy is correct. my bro is a police officer in winnipeg, this past week his partner was trying to put a plastic bag over someones neck whos jugular had been sliced, because each time he tried to do compressions blood would squirt out -LINK-, my brother is in this clip, but won't tell you which :p . so yes, it depends who is there first.
and i agree with TT to some extent, there are definitely crooked people out there who should not be cops! never the less being a cop is extremely stressful on the person and their families. so i have no problem giving them a good pay, its the least we can do. in my somewhat biased opinion.
AAAAnd the press generally shows or covers the negative aspects of police politics, which is unfortunate.

like I said I’m 50/50 it’s a shitty job and I find it funny how people act like there saints, are there bad cops out there sure but it’s not that much of a difference then the kid working at mcdicks eating a hamburger for free in the back, or taking an extra 20 mins on your break, we all do it in one way or another.
When was the last time one of us had to go tell a family that there child was found dead or raped, then have to go on your day acting like nothings happened? Most of us push shit on others over small things like having to stay at work for an extra 30 mins or not getting what you ordered at lunch, human is human.
I think cops get a shitty deal for the system that we force them to use, it is better than what most of the world has but it has its flaws. Justice, education and health are all long overdue for reforms.
And please don't think I’m being biased I’ve served my time in the infantry, and even though I didn't get to see combat (injuries during training) I’ve heard enough first hand experience's about shitty situations and having to carry on like nothings happened hence one of my biggest pet peeve’s is when someone uses the defense "you don’t know what it’s like" I cringe because even though that’s correct to a point there's councilors for a reason.
Here's a question to think about.
You and your platoon are out on patrol in the town your fobs located by, you’ve been here for 3 months already and know most of the 500 people in the town. It’s like any other day the people are out talking the kids are circling one of your buddies as he's handing out candy, till BOOM! He and all the kids are gone because one of their uncles’s stuffed a bomb in one of their diapers. Next day your back on patrol same town same people and you see the remaining kids running towards you or one of your other friends what do you do? Shed a tear then smile was my sgts answer... not sure what I might have done.
Same thing applies to cops for all you know the cop (in that vid or in your own life) was up till 4 am the night before after dealing with a drunk running a light and killed 4 others, 3 of them kids and now he has to deal with some jackass that wants to play games for being stopped? Or maybe his partner was shot and all that cop keeps thinking about is maybe if he tried a little harder at stopping suspected drunk drivers or pulling over that guy he thinks looks outta place those kids or his partner would be alive?
P.S I’m all for personal freedom but in till we change our society from doing things the cheapest or easiest to doing the right thing, were going to have stupid shit to deal with. Stress leave is very much underappreciated for how much help it can have on someone, but were making head way dealing with bullying and depression ”ptsd”

My friend's been arrested before for being a dickhead.
I wish people would generally stop jumping to abuse when Peace Officers perform their duty. Its not like they want to restrain you, but its been well proven, science and fantasy, that there's hundreds of people out there who can't socialize and act like human beings. Since this is Civilization where there is law, you'll find these people in Prison or on the streets. Its the POs that have to deal with the burden of it, civies making it feel like they are always the bad guys is what leads to general negativity towards them.
And thus, I'm morbid to all.

We DON'T have the freedom to murder people we think should be, or to less of an extreme, we don't have the freedom to piss on the sidewalk if that's what we want to do. Ultimate freedom isn't something to be desired, because one person's ultimate freedom is going to impede on yours. It's the police officer's job to enforce the laws that keep us civilized and safe.
Again, there are plenty of cock sucker cops out there (10 minutes on youtube will show you that), but not breaking laws and not acting like a fuckhead will seriously reduce your chances of running into one. (When you get pulled over, don't start frantically fumbling around in your car like you're hiding shit if you don't want to be treated like you're hiding shit)

Indeed. Forced to have an extended stay here in the States, I've seen things that make me want to start taking heads off with the most rusty, jagged knife there is. The amount of people here that get intoxicated then drive is absolutely 'mind boggling'.
