Video card died

Brand new Ati 6870 barely over a year old. Was uninstalling my drivers last night to install some new ones and boom all the colors go fucked. I couldn't even navigate around windows and couldn't read most buttons. After my 20 000th attempt to properly click the shut down button in start menu, I finally succeeded. On restart the PC wouldn't even go past post. It just beeps. I plugged it into my bro's PC and the same thing happened. I'm quite sure shes pooched. Last time I buy Ati.

So now I am in the market for a new one. Let me know if you guys see any sweet deals or have a DX11 card that your looking to sell. I'm in no rush cause I'm currently using my old 8800 gts and I can still play skyrim at least *phew*.

A lot of bang for the buck with a 560 Ti or maybe a 570 if you need a top 2 kind of card.

Hey I just burnt out my video card too... However it was 5 years old. It's amazing how much better things look with a somewhat up to date video card!

it was a power color card.

anyways I had tons of problems with the catalyst software too. Seems like updating drivers was always more effort required than should have been. I've gone back to my old Nvidia card and I already enjoy the control panel more. Yea I'm def looking at those 560 Ti's.

well either way, next time go XFX. Double Lifetime warranty and they dont care if you mod/overclock/watercool the card.

i needed a new fan for my 4870 and they sent me out the whole heatsink assembly within 5 days to my door lol.

As far as I know, only Nvidia... I haven't seen an XFX branded ATI-based card yet, but don't rule it out...
